Antwerp: Hotel Pilar

Those of you who follow our Instagram account might have noticed that we're in Antwerp - for the very first time. The occasion is rather special though; we've got invited by the awesome team of This is Antwerp, which is the coolest touristic initiative so far. They've gathered a bunch of creatives, artists and writers from all over Europe to Discover Antwerp Through Experience (D.A.T.E.), and luckily, we're amongst them. D.A.T.E. is not just a way of putting Antwerp on the map as a creative, innovative city. It's also a great way for them to bring foreign creatives together with the local scene. They didn't only put together the coolest program for the week, but made sure that we'll feel home, and have our beauty sleeps in the best surroundings. The sunniest corner of Antwerp’s Het Zuid quarter recently gave home to Hotel Pilar, an eclectic spot designed for exciting encounters. Hotel Pilar is a home away from home for globetrotters and local residents alike. This colorful 17-room hotel-slash-foodbar is providing us nest throughout the week. PS It's in high demand, if you know what we mean!

Destination: Tulum

Hi, I'm Melody, and I'll share with you my Tulum experiences. Hope you are ready! To me, and I believe I can speak for many, Tulum is a magical place. Magical not only because there is no one word that perfectly describes the place. It is boho, chic, spiritual, boutique, rich in culture and also has the best food, ever. But, once you enter the pearly gates that brings you into Tulum, you immediately feel cleansed, as though you’ve entered this utopian world where all your stress and worries immediately melts away. Your body is re-wired to ‘chillax.’ What you once thought was essential in life, wifi, email, text, social media… no longer exists. What is natural is finding yourself waking up for yoga class, enjoying the freshest fruit smoothies and munching on tacos on the beach.

Where to stay in Münich: Louis Hotel and Cortiina

For those that are traveling frequently, finding a home away from home is essential. Do you all know the moment when after an exhausting day filled with meetings and traveling you enter your hotel room with great curiosity? We guess you are, and so are we. Though the magic does not happen everywhere instantly! Yet it did happen both in Cortiina and Louis Hotel throughout our stay in Münich, our newly discovered treasure destination. Actually the magic immediately happened when checked in at Cortiina; just hardly stepped in the door when the receptionist called our names already, with the cards in his hand. How did he know? - we’re wondering, but just let it go and kept the wow-effect for ourselves and rated the service as excellent already. If you are keen on prime service, eternal kindness, fresh design and great food, both Cortiina and Louis Hotel are the hotels to check-in. Not least they both have the best location in town, located only five minutes of walking from each other. Apparently we’ve been praising Münich since three lores now and won’t stop. Read on for our best memories in our temporary homes in Münich.

Circle by Cihan Anadologlu

On the occassion of our trip to Münich we had a careful research on the city's hotspots. Thanks to our wonderful ambassador we soon realised that the two days won't be enough to discover it fully, yet even a whole week would be tight. Especially when it comes to bars. Take for instance Circle by Cihan Anadologlu in Münich, which is located in the 1st floor at the Heart House. During the first ten months, its founder, Cihan Anadologlu achieved the prize for the „Most innovative Bar“ in Germany, he got ranked by Mixology Magazine under the "Top 5 New European Bars“ and also by Drinks International under the Top 100. I guess it's no coincidence that the lush bar became our number one destination in its category. We've got really curious, so we sat down with Cihan, who's just published his first book titled "Bar Bible". Apart from 200 cocktail classics, he presents his 50 best creations und has invited his friends of the international bar scene to present there most popular drinks as guest authors in this book. The Bar Bible is a real must have for all the lovers of real drinks and cocktails and Circle  is indeed a top destination in the city. PS Stay tuned, our bar category is coming soon!

Top 5 Brunch Spots In Münich by Olga Löffler

Vacay in Munich? Oh yes please! Let us show your way through the city's best brunch spots with our lovely ambassador, Olga's guidance! We've just got back from Munich – the capital of Bavaria, which is known for more than just the world’s largest beer festival and BMWs. Apart from these, the city is also rich in beautiful architecture, meaty sausages (traditionally eaten for breakfast), good football, museums, vintage trams, parties, exhibitions, and parks – one of which is larger than even New York’s Central Park. And of course; a new wave of gastronomy scene if you would like to opt for something lighter than sausages for breakfast. Read on to find out where to get the most delicious breakfast bowls, pancakes and egg benedict. You may thank it to Olga afterwards, we just did.

Top 5 boutique hotels in Barcelona

Is there a travel destination that you find yourself returning to again and again? We have a few to be honest, but Barcelona is indeed on top. When interviewing the wonderful Hortense Giraud behind MYBARRIO the other week, we felt somewhat “homesick”. It was sort of a strong longing we suddenly felt towards Barcelona, this is why we decided to collect you our top 5 boutique hotel choices and inspire you to set feet in this ever-so-inspiring city. Our selection features second homes like Casa Boney, which has a wonderful restaurant too, Soho House famed for its stripy sun loungers and rooftop pool, or our newly discovered H10 Casa Mimosa steps away from Passeig de Gracia and of course, Margot House that truly stole our hearts. MOTTO Restaurant & Bar, located on Schönbrunner Straße, in the fifth district of Vienna, was apparently one of the first gay clubs in the 70’s and has since become somewhat one of the most popular celebrity hotspots in the city. Once you make it inside through the large chrome door (on Rüdigergasse, it’s tricky), the bar will be on your left, while the sophisticated dining area on your right, both opening at 6pm. You should definitely go both directions; you may decide the order though! Once we found its lush green interior via Instagram, we could not get it out of our heads. It was clear that the place has since become the ultimate hangout place amongst the trendy crowds of Vienna, so we joined them. It was Thursday 7pm and the restaurant was fully packed, few hours later as was the bar. Apart from its impressive interior, MOTTO is also known for its kitchen, which stays open after midnight. The menu features delicious dishes like beef carpaccio, salmon tatar or mountain trout, while the cocktail choices are not any less notable. Booking your tables already?

The lore of Sri Lanka: Meet Natasha Sand

Sri Lanka

Let us introduce our beloved ambassador for Sri Lanka, Natasha Sand whom we'd follow everywhere. And we guess so do you. In our interview with this wonderful person we touched topics like the future of tourism in Sri Lanka, secret surf spots, her roots, and seizing easy way of life. Born and raised in Norway until the age of 12, her family decided to move to Sri Lanka. Since two years, Natasha calls Sri Lanka her number one home; an untouched piece of magic. In Sri Lanka, everything moves in a slow pace, meaning there is no rush to get anywhere or get anything done, in other words it's proper island living. If you just travel from 30 minutes to 6 hours within the island, you can change the scenery completely. You've got the classic picture perfect beaches, the paddy fields, then there are the deep lush jungles with endless waterfalls, and all of a sudden you are climbing a mountain with epic views.
